Cape Town City coach Jan Olde Riekerink has confirmed striker Kermit Erasmus is closing in on a return to the pitch as he continues to recover from what he described as a "difficult injury".
The South Africa international tore his hamstring in City's 1-1 draw with Maritzburg United in January, and at the time, he was ruled out for up to three months.
Riekerink expects the speedy marksman to return in the near future to play a part in the remaining matches of the season.
