According to Newcastle-based site Chronicle Live, United States Men’s National Team defender DeAndre Yedlin has undergone surgery related to a groin injury. Yedlin has not featured for Newcastle since a disappointing performance in a 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace on April 6th. He has made 29 appearances this season for Newcastle, proving to be vital in helping the club avoid relegation.
Newcastle currently sits 14th in the Premier League table and has the 8th-best defensive record with one match left to play. Newcastle faces Fulham in its final Premier League match of the season on Sunday.
