Black Leopards boss David Thidiela has explained the reasons behind his decision to bring former Kaizer Chiefs captain and assistant coach Patrick Mabedi to the club.
Earlier this week, Mabedi was appointed as an assistant to new coach Lionel Soccoia, as the club looks to rebuild following the departure of Dylan Kerr, who steered Leopards to safety during the 2018/19 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season.
Nonetheless, the appointment of Mabedi has raised a few eyebrows considering his untimely departure at Amakhosi.
