Tottenham’s dominance in the first half was met by the reverse in the second, with Crystal Palace pouring forward at every opportunity to snatch their deserved equaliser. It didn’t come in spectacular fashion - but the hosts won’t mind as Eze’s dangerous free-kick was mishandled by Lloris, allowing Schlupp to storm in and finish the chance. The hosts played with confidence and could have reasonably come away with a win had Benteke’s heading been more accurate from corner-kick situations. After conceding the equaliser, Spurs seemed to wake up and try and salvage a victory, but an in-form Guaita would not be beaten again, as his diving stop on a Dier free-kick was the standout save in what was a superb performance.
