The U.S. national team goalkeeper was taunted with chants of "Zika" after voicing her concerns about the virus.
It would appear Brazilian fans have not taken kindly to Hope Solo's concerns about the Zika virus.
While the U.S. national team cruised to a 2-0 win over New Zealand on Wednesday to open its Olympic gold medal defense, the atmosphere in Belo Horizonte was less comfortable as fans began booing and whistling the goalkeeper every time she touched the ball.
During the second half, the crowd even began shouting "Zika!" in unison when Solo took goal kicks.
