The former rugby league star has taken up the round ball in North Queensland
After being handed a lifetime ban by the NRL in February, Ben Barba is now playing football for Mackay Rangers in the local Premier League competition.
Deployed as a striker, the 29-year-old has quickly impressed with the round ball scoring four goals across three appearances for the club in both first and reserve grade.
Barba was also involved in the Rangers' FFA Cup win during the week as they saw off Country United in the first round of the national competition.
