Sunderland's Sam Allardyce has been hired as the head coach of the English national team. The 61-year old took over the Black Cats in October, replacing Dick Advocaat, and successfully steered his team out of the relegation zone.

Of course, with Allardyce taking over England, that means Jurgen Klinsmann will remain in charge of the United States men's national (as coach and technical director) for the time being.
