This morning, U.S. Soccer announced the 23 players that will comprise the United States Men’s National Team for the 2021 Gold Cup. From a provisional roster of 59 players, head coach Gregg Berhalter narrowed the selections down to the team that he hopes will lift the Cup in Las Vegas on August 1st.
Only 4 players from the 23-man Nations League roster were included on the provisional roster, and three of them made the roster: Sebastian Lletget, Reggie Cannon, and Jackson Yueill. USMNT head coach Gregg Berhalter indicated that he wanted to give most of the core that formed the Nations League group the summer off to rest and prepare for World Cup qualifying, which begins this fall.
