Across Connecticut, some COVID-19 vaccination and testing sites have temporarily shut down during the first major nor’easter of the season, which has already begun dumping snow on the state.
The storm is expected to bring up to 18 inches of snow to some parts of Connecticut, and the ongoing snowstorm has already closed schools and made the state’s roadways more hazardous. Some medical providers have already decided the dangerous conditions are enough to close vaccination and testing sites, too, although others are pushing through and plan to stay open throughout the storm.
The state’s largest mass vaccination site, which is run by the Community Health Center near East Hartford’s Rentschler Field, is closed Monday and through noon on Tuesday.
