Parts of the state are experiencing a windy Monday, and the wind won’t die down until late afternoon.
A wind advisory is in effect until 4 p.m. in northern Hartford County and in Tolland and Windham counties, the National Weather Service said.
“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects,” meteorologists said in an early-morning alert. “Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
The wind gusts will be as strong as 43 mph in the Hartford area and might be a high as 55 mph elsewhere, they said.
The temperature will reach the low 50s Monday, and will drop to the upper 50s overnight.
