A Willimantic man was arrested Saturday afternoon by Connecticut State Police after an armed home invasion in Ledyard led to a high-speed chase that reached speeds of up to 80 mph and damaged two police cars, police said.
It was unclear Sunday morning if he has been charged in connection with the home invasion. A call to Ledyard police was not returned.
According to police, at about 3:45 p.m., a Ledyard resident reported a home invasion, during which the suspect showed a handgun.
Hurt was identified as a suspect in the case based on the car he was driving.
