Wife of UConn police officer helped him stalk 2 victims, write ‘disparaging letters’ about them, prosecutors say

The wife of a UConn police officer charged with stalking two other university employees for a year is now facing similar charges this week after investigators said they discovered she participated in her husband’s scheme.

Tammi L. Zavickas, 55, was arrested Thursday and charged with second-degree stalking and second-degree harassment more than two months after the arrest of her husband, Peter, Tolland State’s Attorney Matthew Gedansky said.

Officer Peter Zavickas was accused of stalking, harassing and photographing two UConn public safety employees by tracking their movements across campus using the university’s surveillance system and covertly followed the victims around the Storrs campus in his car, court records show.
