When Geno Auriemma was asked about the perception Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis would have difficulty guarding players like Diana Taurasi in the WNBA, the UConn coach offered a cryptic response.
"Tell me who can guard [Taurasi]?" Auriemma said.
Point taken.
Taurasi will not play in the WNBA this season, but there are other difficult matchups.
On Thursday, Auriemma's appraisal will be secondary to those who will pass judgment on Mosqueda-Lewis — and teammate Kiah Stokes — when the WNBA draft takes place at Mohegan Sun Arena.
"I don't think anything has really changed [with Mosqueda-Lewis].
