West Haven police make arrest in July shooting murder

Lamar Nalley, 27, was charged Wednesday with murder, criminal possession of a firearm and carrying a pistol without a permit, they said. He was in custody on $1 million bail early Thursday and was scheduled to be arraigned in Superior Court in Milford later in the day.

According to police, about 2:45 p.m. July 17, officers and firefighters went to the scene of a shooting and crash at a gas station. They rushed to First Fuel, 810 First Ave., and found Khalil Abdul-Hakeem suffering from a single gunshot wound. The 21-year-old died.
