Terence Johnson, 18, of West Haven was charged with murder and arraigned in Superior Court in Milford, they said Tuesday. He was in custody on $1 million bail.
According to police, officers responded Saturday to the area of Washington Avenue and Elm Street on a report of a serious assault. The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The male victim died the next day, police said. They didn’t release the victim’s name or say how he is believed to have died.
Police said they also cited apparent supporters of the victim who spray painted messages about the homicide on a 9/11 memorial.
