West Haven officers and federal agents on Wednesday seized 1,700 pounds of marijuana and arrested two Virginia residents who police said were part of an international drug-trafficking operation.
Jourdan Maniray, 23, and I’real Jones, 20, of Reston, Va., were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to sell over 1 kilogram of marijuana. Bail for each was set at $250,000, police said.
The seizure was the result of a months-long investigation that showedtraffickers were using a West Haven storage facility as a hub as they distributed large amounts of marijuana throughout the tri-state area, police said.
