The West Hartford World of Beer employee fired after he presented a beer in a Ku Klux Klan-like covering to a Black patron has sued the restaurant, claiming he was asked to bring the provocative beer to the table and later expressed concerns over the drink to management.
Nathan Thaller of South Windsor is seeking to get back his job as a server at the popular eatery along with an unspecified amount of damages.
In the seven-page lawsuit, Thaller’s attorney, Michael J. Reilly, asserts that his client questioned World of Beer for selling the controversial Yellow Belly brew amid the Black Lives Matter movement.
