A victim of a pedestrian hit-and-run that occurred in Waterbury on Thursday evening has died, Waterbury police said.
The victim, who has only been identified as a 67-year-old man, was hit by a car near a Pep Boys Auto Parts on Wolcott Street around 8:14 p.m. Thursday, police said. The vehicle kept driving northbound after striking the pedestrian, who was pushing a shopping cart while crossing the street.
The man was found unconscious and unresponsive at the scene before being transported to an area hospital. He died Saturday evening.
