Waterbury man charged with murder after capture by US Marshals, detectives

A Waterbury man accused of murder was captured Monday morning by U.S. Marshals and local police more than a month after a shooting left another man dead in his car.

Jacob Morales, 24, was arrested Monday morning and charged with murder and nine other offenses in connection with the death of 27-year-old Luis Robert Vazquez on Oct. 7, police said.

Morales was located around 9 a.m. at a South Main Street apartment building by federal marshals and Waterbury detectives and taken into custody without further incident, Lt. David Silverio said.
