Waterbury police have arrested the father and grandmother of a 2-year-old infant who suffered life-threatening injuries at home earlier this month.
The child remains hospitalized in critical condition with facial and head injuries from two incidents, one on April 28 and another May 2, Lt. David Silverio said Thursday.
Lisa Burgison, 54, and Raymond D. Burgison, 32, were both arrested Wednesday and served warrants for risk of injury to a child, hindering prosecution, false statement and interfering with an officer, Silverio said. Raymond Burgison is the child’s father and Lisa is the child’s grandmother.
Police were first made aware of the child’s injuries just before 6 p.
