Zavier Scott’s UConn Huskies football career didn’t get off to the best start. His first touch in the season opener vs UCF was a fumble. After that, he found himself on the bench for most of that game.
But since then, Scott has grown more comfortable out of the backfield. He spells Kevin Mensah and is a weapon for David Pindell catching the ball out of the backfield.
Scott is tied with Hergy Mayala for the team lead in receptions with 16. His 16 receptions are good for 120 yards, and he caught his first career touchdown last Saturday against Syracuse.
