On Friday night, the WNBA’s best team in the Seattle Storm came to Mohegan Sun Arena to take on the Connecticut Sun. The Storm, who came away with a 78-65 win, feature three UConn Huskies players in Sue Bird, Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis and Breanna Stewart.
Before the game, we were able to talk to Bird one-on-one about a variety of subjects. During the five minute interview, she talked about what it is like to play for new coach Dan Hughes, what is making the league more popular this year, the pay inequality in the WNBA and of course the comments by Christyn Williams about UConn winning the national championship this year.
