When former UConn Huskies women’s basketball star Gabby Williams was drafted in the WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky this year, she was given an opportunity to play with another former UConn star, Stefanie Dolson.
Williams had an up-and-down first season as you might expect for any rookie. She did show the same flashes of brilliance as she once had at UConn.
In the end, Williams averaged 7.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game in 34 games played (30 started). She ended up second in steals per game to another former UConn great in Maya Moore.
