Months after a body was left in a Watertown forest, wrapped in bags and bound by tape, Waterbury police detectives tracked the phone of a city man through the area on the night they believe the woman was killed, an arrest warrant released Friday shows.
When the body was found on Sept. 12, authorities in Waterbury were two months into the search for Rachel Lerato Sebetlela, first reported missing when she stopped communicating with her boyfriend, roommate and loved ones in July. DNA evidence confirmed the body found near Black Rock State Park was Sebetlela.
Through a friend, investigators learned of her relationship with another man, 22-year-old Miles Johnson.
