Meriden police have identified the victim of the first of two fatal shootings in the city over the weekend.
Michael Joseph Brown, 20, was shot at about 2:40 a.m. Saturday at a gas station on South Broad Street, Sgt. Darrin McKay said.
Officers were called to the scene and found evidence of a shooting, but no victim. A short time later, two victims arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds.
Brown succumbed to his injuries and the other man, who has not been identified, was treated for a single wound to his leg, police said at the time.
