Napheesa Collier and Katie Lou Samuelson arrived at UConn together, they both made the jump from being talented role players to All-American candidates together so it seems fitting that they would share the American Athletic Conference Player of the Year honor.
Samuelson finished as UConn's leading scorer in the regular season, averaging 20.7 points per game while Collier was the leading scorer in conference games at 21.6 points, edging out Samuelson by a total of two points in the 16 games.
Collier and Samuelson have not only been remarkably consistent in terms of putting up points all season long but they have also put up their share of eye-opening efforts.
