UConn Women’s Soccer picked up their first win of 2017 on Sunday in the finale of the CCSU Tournament, with a 3-0 win over the CCSU Blue Devils at the CCSU Soccer Field.
Kess Elmore scored twice and Sabrina Toole also grabbed a goal, each of them scoring for the first time on the season. Mollie Kerrigan made two saves to earn the shutout.
The Huskies had not scored since their first match of the year, playing 302 minutes without a goal while taking losses to Yale, No. 15 Rutgers and St. John’s. Against the Blue Devils, they made sure to score early and play from the front for the first time in 2017.
