UConn women’s basketball’s Thursday night showdown against No. 7 Baylor is off after Bears’ head coach Kim Mulkey tested positive for COVID-19, according to announcements from both schools. As a non-conference game, it will not be rescheduled.
Mulkey missed Baylor’s previous game on Saturday, Jan. 2 at TCU after being exposed on Christmas to a family member who tested positive. Though she tested negative three times prior to that game, she decided to isolate away from the team as a precaution. Mulkey returned to team activities on Monday, Jan. 4, where she was tested and eventually learned of the positive result.
