After missing the win over Saint Louis with a fever, Megan Walker was also ruled out for Saturday’s game against Seton Hall by head coach Geno Auriemma.
“She hasn’t practiced since shootaround at Saint Louis game,” he said. “When we got back, she got tested again and she’s got strep [throat], so she’s on medication and we’ll see how long it takes for that to get knocked out.”
Kyla Irwin will start her second-straight game in Walker’s place. Last game, Irwin totaled 10 rebounds in 25 minutes, both career highs.
“I think Kyla has a better grasp of what we’re doing at this point in time (compared to Olivia Nelson-Ododa) and I think Kyla’s earned it because she works really hard and I want to give her that opportunity and see what she does with it.
