On Monday, UConn introduced Adrianne Swinney as the new Chief Operating Officer and Senior Woman Administrator in the athletic department. Swinney replaces Beth Goetz, who left to become the athletic director at Ball State. Swinney comes to Storrs from UNC Wilmington, where she held the title of deputy athletic director.
“I’d like to extend my sincerest gratitude to [Athletic Director] David Benedict and President Susan Herbst for this opportunity,” Swinney said in a press release. “I count it both a privilege and an honor to become a member of the UConn family and community, joining a nationally distinguished institution synonymous with excellence in every way.
