After a two-year hiatus, the UConn men’s soccer team is back in the NCAA Tournament. The Huskies received the final at-large bid and will host A-10 Champions and local rivals Rhode Island in the first round on Thursday. The time is still TBA.
The game will likely be played at Rentschler Field, although University of Hartford is also a possibility. Morrone Stadium is unavailable due to the construction of the new soccer stadium.
The two teams were supposed to play back on Sep. 11, but the game was rained out and was not rescheduled.
Both Rhode Island and UConn received Top 25 votes in the last United Soccer Coaches poll.
