The first two rounds of the Major League Soccer (MLS) SuperDraft were held on Friday, and UConn tri-captain Jacob Hauser-Ramsey was drafted by the Colorado Rapids in the second with the No. 42 pick.
The center-back racked up a host of regular season honors in his final year at UConn and will hope to break into a Rapids squad that went 6-17-6 in the Western Conference last year. He joins UConn alumni Carlos Alvarez, Tony Cascio, and David Castellanos, as Huskies who have played for Colorado. There are now five former Huskies currently plying their trade in the highest level of professional in the United States.
