On Monday, UConn Men’s Hockey announced its incoming freshman class for the 2017-18 season. The Huskies will welcome five fresh faces to the organization, hailing from three different states and England.
There will be a new goaltender, one defenseman and three forwards, for a smaller class than the seven Mike Cavanaugh welcomed in 2016.
Adam Karashik is the lone in-state commitment for the class of 2017, hailing from Ridgefield. He is also the lone defenseman. Karashik played the 2016-17 season for the Chicago Steel of the USHL, grabbing nine points (2-7—9) with a +14 plus/minus in a championship season for the Steel.
