During last night’s UConn men’s hockey game vs. Quinnipiac, Huskies’ freshman Ruslan Iskhakov was stretchered off the ice after a brutal hit in the third period. On Wednesday morning, the school released a statement regarding Iskhakov’s condition.
Ruslan Iskhakov was transported to the hospital from the arena during last night’s game at Quinnipiac for precautionary reasons. All tests were normal and he was released from the hospital. He is currently back on campus in Storrs and is doing well. He will be evaluated on a game-by-game basis with no timetable set for a return.
Iskhakov is a native of Moscow, Russia and was the crown jewel of UConn’s 2018 recruiting class.
