UConn men's basketball has come full circle under the NCAA's Academic Progress Rate guidelines, posting a perfect score of 1,000 for 2013-14 and an overall scored of 983, the highest ever for the program, it was announced on Wednesday.
It was the second consecutive year the program has scored 1,000.
In 2009-10, UConn lost two scholarships after posting a score of 893. The following season the Huskies were ineligible for postseason play.
The NCAA announced scores for all schools Wednesday. Under new higher standards, an athletic program must maintain a 930 APR average score over a four years, or 940 over the most recent two academic years, or face ineligibility.
