UConn men’s basketball ranked No. 25 in AP Top 25

For the first time since 2016, UConn men’s basketball is back in the AP Top 25. The Huskies moved into the No. 25 spot in the AP Top 25, garnering 181 points.

UConn was last ranked in the Top 25 in the 2016-17 preseason poll, put quickly dropped out after a home loss to Wagner. The Huskies have not been ranked in the AP Poll in the regular season since the 2015-16 season.

For reference, the last time they were ranked Christian Vital and Alterique Gilbert were freshmen. Now, Vital and Gilbert are gone but they have a team featuring potential NBA lottery pick James Bouknight alongside a strong rotation that goes nine or 10 deep and are officially back as one of the best programs in the nation.
