No. 4 UConn men’s basketball routed the New Hampshire Wildcats Monday night at Gampel Pavilion, 84-64, to set a record for consecutive non-conference games won by double-digits, with 24.
Donovan Clingan led the way, hitting his first nine shots on his way to a career-high 29 points along with seven rebounds. UNH didn’t have anyone who could stop him or Samson Johnson, who finished with 10 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks.
Clingan scored six of the Huskies’ first eight points as Dan Hurley’s squad took control early on even though some hot shooting from behind the arc allowed UNH to hang around in the first half.
