After returning from the All-Star break as the only rookie to be named an All-Star, Napheesa Collier was named the WNBA Rookie of the Month for July. She is the first Minnesota Lynx player to be named Rookie of the Month since Maya Moore in 2011.
Collier excelled defensively for the Lynx, ranking first among all rookies in steals (1.8) and blocks (1.0) per game for the month of July. She also ranked second among all rookies in points (9.8) and rebounds (7.5) per game. Collier also added 2.3 assists per game and shot 40 percent from the floor.
