UConn men’s hockey had a 2-0 lead going into the third period only to finish in a 2-2 draw with the University of Maine. The Huskies hosted the Black Bears at the XL Center for the second of two games after winning the first one on Friday night in their home opener.
Following an uneventful first period, junior Alexander Payusov scored two goals in the second, both on the power play, to give UConn its lead. He opened the scoring by putting in a rebound off an Evan Wisocky shot while the Huskies had a 5-on-3 advantage.
