When UConn football takes the field at Boise State, they’ll be making some program history with the longest regular-season road trip ever. Other long road trips in recent memory include heading to BYU in 2015 and for the Fiesta Bowl in 2011.
It is just the second all-time meetings between the two schools, with the first coming in 2014 — Bob Diaco’s first season. UConn kept the game close for three quarters, trailing by just three with just over 16 minutes left after a Geremy Davis touchdown catch.
However, turnovers killed the Huskies as the Broncos pulled away with a pair of touchdowns in the final quarter to earn the 38-21 victory.
