Nino Leone, a massive offensive lineman from Massachusetts, was one of many visitors on hand for UConn's Thursday night win over Villanova. The next day he became the seventh member of the Huskies' Class of 2016. By the time we at The UConn Blog found out... well, let's just say our holiday weekend had begun.
Jim Fuller of the New Haven Register spoke with Leone's coach, who described the newest member of the Husky family as "one of the nicest kids but when he steps on that field he is aggressive, very competitive."
Leone is a two-sport star for the Pingree School where he has been starting on both offense and defense for the football team since his freshman year.
