With National Signing Day a day away, Randy Edsall’s staff has made quick work of turning around UConn’s fortunes on the recruiting trail. The Huskies received two verbal commitments on Tuesday in quarterback David Pindell and linebacker TJ Gardner.
The first commitment of the day came from David Pindell, a 6-foot, 195-pound dual-threat signal caller from Lackawanna Community College. Last season, he threw for 2,424 yards, 31 touchdowns and seven interceptions while running for 451 yards on 94 carries, good for 4.80 yards per carry. Pindell is rated as a 3-star prospect by Rivals, 247sports, and Scout and will join UConn as a junior.
