UConn Football Position Preview: Tight Ends

Related Topics: Tight end, Randy Edsall, Bob Diaco

The tight end position has long been underutilized by UConn football despite seemingly having talent available. Alec Bloom and Tommy Myers both graduated, but there is still plenty of promise at the position for the Huskies this season, it’s just a matter of if they will be involved in the offense.

After a strong season at wide receiver where he caught 37 passes for 568 yards, the coaching staff decided to move the 6-foot-5 McLean to tight end. So far, tight ends coach Corey Edsall is pleased with the transition.
