Most of the first half went well for the UConn football team but three scores in the final two minutes of the second quarter propelled ECU to a 55-21 victory. The Pirates scored the final 41 points of the contest.
The Huskies have only one game remaining, a Nov. 24 matchup at 3:30 p.m. against the Temple Owls, who beat USF at home on Saturday, 27-17, to advance to 7-4 overall and 6-1 in the conference.
The Bulls led 17-0 at the half and allowed only 120 yards of offense, a large portion of which came on a 57-yard drive that ended in a missed 29-yard field goal, but Temple served USF a taste of its own medicine after the break.
