UConn football continued their run on recruiting in the Lone Star State this week, securing the commitment of offensive lineman Yakiri Walker from DeSoto, Texas.
Walker is a behemoth of a man, standing 6-foot-3 and weighing in at over 270 pounds. He’s UConn’s third three-star recruit of the 2021 class according to 247Sports, behind running back Max Modeste and defensive lineman Pryce Yates.
Walker's offers were clearly a step up from most of the other 2021 recruits; the lineman was courted by Air Force, Charlotte, Kansas, Missouri State, Navy, New Mexico, New Mexico State and Toledo before deciding on UConn.
