While most football fans occupy themselves with the NFL playoffs, the UConn football staff has been hard at work on the recruiting trail.
In an attempt to erase the horrors of this past season, the Huskies are looking to sure up the defensive line with 6-foot-6, 280-pound defensive end Jeff Woods. Woods becomes the 15th member of the 2019 recruiting class
A North Carolina native, Woods was heavily recruited by nearby East Carolina University, but decided to make a change following the firing of head coach Scottie Montgomery. It was a two-team race between UConn and Tulane, but the Huskies won out.
