For the third year in a row, the UConn baseball team had players named to the Collegiate Baseball Freshmen All-American team. After Willy Yahn received the honor in 2015 and Tim Cate in 2016, southpaw Mason Feole and shortstop Anthony Prato were recognized for their performances in the 2017 season.
Feole became one of the top starters in the American Athletic Conference over the course of his first season in Storrs, leading the Huskies with a team-high seven wins in 14 starts and throwing over 82 innings with a 3.38 ERA as the team’s Sunday starter.
