On a special Thursday night in Hartford, UConn Baseball got a 6-0 win at Dunkin’ Donuts Park over East Carolina to open up the final weekend series of the regular season.
“It’s a tremendous stadium,” sophomore Zac Susi said. “It’s beautiful, you come out here, the energy is crazy.”
Tim Cate gave the Huskies their first complete game this year and did it with a shutout. He allowed five hits, struck out eight and walked four.
“He joked with me pregame about how he wanted to keep his pitch count down so that he could go deeper into the game,” Susi said.
