UConn Baseball failed to get the series win on Sunday as the Huskies dropped the rubber match against the UCF Knights, 8-2, at Bergman Field.
The Knights jumped out to an early lead and the Huskies could not work their way out of the hole.
Mason Feole only pitched three innings, giving up five runs on seven hits. He walked one and struck out one.
Left fielder John Toppa was the only Husky with multiple hits. Center fielder Keith Krueger and third baseman Willy Yahn had a RBI each.
UCF struck for four in the first inning.
