With the regular season wrapped up, the American Athletic Conference announced their 2018 yearly awards and UConn baseball had five representatives after finishing third in the conference.
Freshman infielder Christian Fedko earned the sole individual award, bringing home Rookie Position Player of the Year. He was a versatile piece for the Huskies, playing 46 games at second base, third base and designated hitter throughout the season. Fedko hit .248 with an on-base percentage of .315 and slugging percentage of .318.
Meanwhile, starting pitcher Mason Feole and outfield Isaac Feldstein were both named First Team All-Conference. Feole was a critical piece of UConn’s rotation, especially after ace Tim Cate went down with an arm injury in March.
